BITFOLDBitfold privacy policy
Bitfold doesn't collect, store on a server, share or sell any information about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind, and the app never connects to the internet.
What stays on your device
Everything Bitfold keeps is stored only on your iPhone or iPad, inside the app:
- the cartridge images you import, and the label art captured from them;
- battery saves, save states and their thumbnails;
- cheat codes you enter;
- your settings (edition, screen palette, controls, sound).
Cartridges you put in Files › On My iPhone › Bitfold stay visible to you in the Files app. Removing the app removes everything else. If you use iCloud or Finder backups, your device backup includes this data like any other app's.
Device features
- Game controllers and keyboards are read only while you play.
- Motion sensors are used only while a game that has a tilt sensor is running.
- Haptics play rumble and button clicks.
- Photos: if you save a screenshot to your photo library, iOS asks for permission first. Bitfold only adds images; it never reads your library.
